Technical Support
General
-
Nothing happens after clicking Play
Check if the raiderz.exe file exists in the game folder: this error usually happens when your Antivirus or Windows Defender quarantines/deletes the file because of a false positive, so you need to restore the file or run the Recovery Tool that is used to verify the integrity of game files.
-
Game crashes after clicking Play
If your game crashes right after pressing the "Play" button, your computer is probably missing some .NET Framework updates: the minimum requirement is version 4.5.2.
-
Wrong resolution / Can't see the login screen
If your can't see the login screen properly, press ALT+ENTER to get the game out of fullscreen mode.
-
Can't create D3D Device, error code: -2005530520
Change the resolution of your monitor.
-
Game crashes randomly
The game can crash when the audio devices on your computer change: the simple act of plugging/unplugging your headphones can trigger this.
-
An invalid file was detected. Please check for anti-virus program
Your game files probably got corrupted: try to fix it using the Recovery Tool in the game folder, or reinstall the game.
-
Players and NPCs are invisible
This can happen due to the exhaustion of Video Memory, or on very old computers. It is usually solved by restarting the game, but if your computer does not meet the Video Memory requirement, this problem will likely occur again.
-
api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll (Windows 7)
Make sure you have Windows 7 Service Pack 3 installed.
-
0xc000007b / msvcp140.dll
Install Visual C++ Redistributable 2015: both x86 and x64 versions can be found in the game's redist subfolder, or can be downloaded from Microsoft's website.
Launcher Errors
-
Launcher Error 2002 or 19001
Delete the Patch folder inside the game folder and run the Game Launcher again.
-
Launcher Error 5002 (network blocking)
The launcher can't reach the update server. Check your connectivity by typing ping ts.revolutionraiderz.com in a Command Prompt. If you don't get a response, then a firewall is blocking the connection. Try allowing the game in Windows Firewall, and if it still doesn't work you might have to reach out to your Internet Service Provider.
-
Launcher Error 5004 (no file)
If your game was freshly installed, wait a few minutes and try again.
-
Launcher Error 6002 or 6004 (old version)
Your installation is too old: download the updated version.
-
Launcher Error 7007 or 7010 (AV/ISP interference)
If you have any Antivirus installed or if Windows Defender is active, try disabling it temporarily and open the Game Launcher again. If it works, your Antivirus is blocking the Game connection. In very rare cases, Internet Service Provider firewalls can block the connection too.
-
Launcher Error 7008 (out of memory)
Try closing some running applications and run the Game Launcher again.
-
Patcher Error 21009
The update processed has exhausted the amount of Virtual Memory for temporary files on your computer: try increasing the virtual memory for temporary files.
